The Stingrace was purely a streetcar but inspired by the legendary L-88 race cars with its FIA-headlights, side pipes and roller latch fuel cap. It was powered by a 383 stroker engine that was mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The two-tone paintwork was imitated by the 1979 official pace car. The cleaned-out engine bay, the rear diffuser, the leather interior and the sound system were all custom made.
The boattail was an older Finnish build that had been put together with spare parts and sheet metal to imitate an authentic old race car but was finally made street legal by one of its previous owners who also drove the hell out of it. I had big plans for it but ended up selling it after enjoying it only for a summer. The car was sold to a German lady who keeps its legacy going.
